Venus is at work in our world

While it may seem impossible, Venus is hard at work in our world right now. Here is an introduction to her energy, plus three ways to connect with her.

There's a reason the ancients made planetary energies into gods and goddesses. These energies are beings in their own right, each with a specific power and function in our reality. Last year, the planet Jupiter surprised me with a healing session. This time, it's the energy of Venus knocking on my door.

Venus has been with me for the past week. The first time I saw her, she was an unholy fusion of fur and feathers asking me to accept her. Today, she was clothed in the night sky, her hair a horrific combination of Medusa and Edward Gorey's Bat Lady from Masterpiece Mystery! If there's one thing I've learned about Venus, it's that my preconceived notions of her were dead wrong.

As she will tell you herself, Venus is the energy of unconditional love. And while it may seem impossible, she is hard at work in our world right now. With thanks to Venus and the guides, here is an introduction to her energy. I hope it inspires you to see her differently, too.

What can you tell me about the energy of Venus?

I am compassion. I am acceptance. I am the love of the child for the father, of the sister for a brother, of the leader for the people. I align with the expression of love, but don’t go thinking I’m some vamped-up sex goddess. I express the true, dispassionate acceptance of the totality of your fellow human.

Oh wow, you might need to unpack that a little.

As you sit in your cozy office engaging in this act of service for the collective, you are unwittingly expressing love. Love is hard to describe. It is the absence of judgment. It is unselfconscious caring. Love seeks only that which is in the highest good of others, even if it doesn't necessarily align with what you would want for yourself.

Love is an absolute. I don't think you in your human skin can understand that, because humans have placed so many definitions and conditions on what love is and can be. But your soul understands the nature of love, because that is what you feel when you see the innocence of a child, the playfulness of a kitten, the loyalty of a dog, or the majesty of nature.

What do you mean when you say that love is an absolute?

You can only truly see another person when you look with the eyes of the heart. The heart sees the other as an extension of itself. Looks don't matter. Actions don’t either. The heart sees only the fundamental essence of Creation in all its glorious complexity. And in that understanding, you are the same.

Is that why you chose to appear in such unique forms?

Naturally. My goal was to jolt you into an awareness of your judgements. You immediately questioned my gown and hair today, but to your credit, you quickly looked beyond and into my frequency. You already had a fundamental understanding of what I was trying to convey. Others might not be so accepting. And acceptance is what your society badly needs now.

I assume that’s why you asked me to do this post.

Oh my, yes. Humans have been made to believe that they must fear what is other. When things aren't going well, your conditioning leads you to look for a cause. Your society has tried to tell you that the cause is outside yourself. Each group acts for its own preservation, but that’s not love. That is fear, anger, and pain.

This isn’t to say that your fear, anger, and pain are not real. But the answer lies not in demonizing one group to make another feel better. What's needed is an understanding that complexity is the fundamental condition of your world.

You are more than your human skin. You are more than your collection of rules, values, customs, and judgements. Each being on your planet is a child of God seeking to learn about itself—and you learn by experimenting. Love the experimenter, not the experiment.

That seems a tall order right now.

Love is the only thing you need to bring everyone home—to stability, to freedom, and to a world that works for everyone.
