What the fairies want us to know
Sometimes a meditative experience is so surprising, it's hard to find words for it. This is the story of my journey to the fae kingdom and my conversation with the fairies.
This week during meditation, one of my guides escorted me to the fae kingdom. It’s a place of unreal colors—picture pink grass, turquoise trees, and a lavender sky. The animals are equally fantastic. On our way, we passed a unicorn, a chimera, and something that seemed to be a cross between a dragonfly and a millipede.
Finally we arrived at a large standing stone, where two small beings waited. Each was about three feet tall, and each wore a crown of spikes sharp enough to cut. I was given to understand that these beings were fairies.
Surprised and a bit disconcerted, I greeted them and asked what I could do for them. “We would like to give you information,” they said. This conversation is the result.
(Note: There are many different beings in the fae kingdom, not to mention a boatload of myths and folk wisdom about fairies in our own world. This information is channeled and may or may not align with your conception of fairies. As always, use your own discernment.)
Good morning. Can you tell me who you represent?
We represent the elemental spirits that guard, protect, and nurture plants—you may understand us as “fairies.”
What information would you like to pass on to humans?
We are pure nature energy focused on plant and animal life. We love our plants like pets. They are individuals and most precious to us. We care for their bodies and their souls, giving them energy and causing nutrients to be brought to them. Think of us as caretakers of nature. We cannot bear to see nature abused. Just as you are outraged by the suffering of animals, so we feel for our plants.
Is it possible for us to see you?
That ability depends on one’s frequency, intention, and level of benevolent interaction with nature.
What would you like us to know?
We are real. We wish to partner with you to restore the health of this beautiful planet.
What’s the best way for us to ask you for help?
We appreciate small offerings that assure us of your benign intent. A small dish of milk or honey is one idea. You might build a fairy garden, as your friend Missye did. Or install a fairy door in a special place in your landscape. Any of these things will signal your intention.

Are there any tools that can help us connect with you?
Oh yes. You are already aware that some crystals are encoded with a frequency that aligns with ours. Moss agate and the andaras in particular resonate with us. And since all crystals choose a mission for themselves, some spirit quartz and garden quartz specimens also may connect to us.
Everything is frequency, so if you like to work with sound, you might try 385 hz.
When we reach out to you and you respond, does that create a kind of contract between us?
Somewhat. When you put energy toward us, we put energy toward you. And we expect the reverse to be true.
We want nothing more than to enter into a partnership with you, exchanging energy—kindness, caring, concern—on a continual basis. If that reciprocal exchange doesn’t take place, then we will ignore you.
There is one exception: If you are actively cruel to nature, we may retaliate. We might cause you to lose your way or to be stung or bitten by insects A deed for a deed, you might say.
We want nothing more than to enter into a partnership with you, exchanging energy—kindness, caring, concern—on a continual basis.
What does a continual exchange of energy entail?
Once we are connected with you, our expectation is that you will care for our plants and the wildlife in your environment. Feed the birds. Nurture the plants. Be kind to the wildlife. Send loving thoughts to the insects. This is an energy we admire. In return we will help nurture the green growing things in your environment. We may send you gifts from time to time.
What happens if we need to remove a plant that is invasive or in the way?
That depends. We would prefer you to relocate the plant. If you are unable to do that, we ask you to make an offering. Thank the plant for its service and offer something that requires a small sacrifice on your part. Bury a crystal, or set out a small dish of honey. It should be something that you give up to honor the plant.
If a plant needs to come indoors, do you come with it?
Oh yes. The individual caretaker of that particular plant will remain with that plant. Know that we are in a different dimension than you. We easily travel between dimensions. Your walls are as nothing to us unless you have warded against us specifically. We are of benevolent intent, so if you have warded against ill intent, your wards will not affect us.
What else would you like to tell us?
Many of you are partnering with us unconsciously. If you like to work in the garden, we are with you. If you are inventing ways to heal and protect nature, we are with you. If you enjoy walking or hiking in nature, we are with you. Your appreciation of nature is a signal to us, and we will reciprocate.
The energy of andaras
Andaras are a fascinating addition to the world of crystals. One of my andaras recently offered an overview of andara energy, which led to a longer conversation and this post. Enjoy.
