Thanks, this is fascinating. So I am think the weird Pink Salt Diet thing that is the rage may actually have some metaphysical implications.......Anything to wake us humans up.

Alison, this is so interesting. I had no idea how and why salt is so important for us. My partner never seems to have enough salt on his food. Maybe it's his body telling him he needs to clear his energy?

It makes you wonder, doesn't it? Like your partner, I add salt to pretty much everything. In my case, I wonder if it is because I am chronically under-hydrated and my body is trying to hold onto the water. I am fairly sure I don't have an optimal balance of salt and water in my body. :-)

This reminds me of the folk tale about a king asking his daughters how well they loved him, and the youngest answers: "I love you like salt." At first the king doesn't understand, and when he tries to eat his food without salt, he gets it. Seems to me that a balanced intake of salt is a 'good boundary.' I'm curious, though, about high blood pressure and salt. I had a stress-related (finishing my book!) episode of very high blood pressure and was told to avoid salt as much as possible, which was hard, but seemed to help. The intense humming energy flowing through me at that time seemed like it was needed to get me over the threshold to releasing the book, letting it go out into the world, even just to beta-readers so far. A week later I was back to normal. It does give me pause, though, because I love to use plenty of salt. Any thoughts on limiting salt to mitigate high blood pressure?

Hi Alden. That's fascinating (and, I remember that fairy tale!). I can't speak to high blood pressure specifically, because the body as a system is complex. The guides have said that part of health is ensuring that we have optimal amounts of minerals, elements, and other nutrients in our bodies. Optimal implies neither too much nor too little. That's one reason hydration is important. Proper hydration can help to balance the salt in our bodies so that the body can do its electrical work correctly. (BTW, the guides are saying right now that copper and magnesium are two things you may want to explore.) I hope this is helpful! :-)

Thanks so much, Alison! What an adventure I've had this morning, looking through the bins I've saved of my mother's and grandmother's jewelry collections. Both were artists, made and collected beads, and worked in silver. Oh my, what a tangle of energy! The copper and magnetite suggestions are quite compelling! Thanks very much to your guides. I've recently had prompts in that direction, so this is another breadcrumb along a very interesting path toward the 'idea of swarm' which requires deep grounding, it seems.
