Here be dragons. As I meditated on the energy of October, chaotic images of smoke and tangled lines formed in my vision. The lines shifted and roiled, finally coalescing into a great green dragon with its tail wrapped around the Earth. Yikes. Don’t get me wrong, I love dragons. But if that’s the energy of October, I may just go back to bed.

Hello, what can you tell me of the energy of October?
Dissatisfaction. Danger. Colliding energies. October is a month of unrest. Picture the flailing of a wounded animal. That’s what’s happening. The people are awake and doing what remains in their power to resist. This energy of resistance is the energy of October.
I saw October as a snarled mess of lines. What was that about?
You were seeing the energy of resistance, of confusion, of wounded domination. All are tangled together, fighting for supremacy. Your country is too big to dominate militarily without the consent of the military. And from where we stand right now, it doesn’t look as if your military will comply.
Another image I was given was that of a dragon with its tail wrapped around the Earth.
Yes, make no mistake about it—dragon energy is at work in your world today. Dragons are healers. Dragons are shadow workers. They help us see that which we like least about ourselves so we can accept it and release it. That’s exactly what’s happening in your world today.
You’re being given an opportunity to look at what your culture has created. And as you truly see it, you have the chance to choose a different way of being. That takes courage and perseverance. It isn’t easy. But if you are able, open your eyes and see things for what they are. Release what no longer serves you, and begin to dream of the world you wish to live in. This is what the energy of October supports. There may never be a better time to tear down the old and build something new.
How will the energy of this month affect us in our personal lives?
This is a month for cleaning house. You may find yourself clearing out cobwebs and vacuuming up dust from forgotten corners.
If housekeeping is not your cup of tea, you may choose to streamline instead. Perhaps you will decide to cancel subscriptions or donate items you haven’t used in a while. It feels good to focus on priorities. It feels good to be in a cleaner, more organized space—whether that be emotional or physical.
What can we do to manage the energy of October?

October is a month to wear golden healer quartz, to meditate with it, even to sleep with it. As a holder of the Gold Ray, golden healer quartz connects you to others in brotherhood, because the Gold Ray is the energy of oneness. It is the energy of recognizing yourself in another. October supports this recognition of yourself in people that you don’t necessarily agree with. You will begin to recognize that there are many things you do agree on. It is this common interest that binds you now.

We’re not going to tell you to try to keep your balance this month because that has been a throughline for every month since the beginning of 2025. And by now you’re learning to walk through shifting sands without falling. You understand that the ground is moving beneath your feet, but you also understand how to move with the energies, how to flow around resistance. It’s a lesson that has served you well and which will continue to support you as you move through the rest of the year.
